Konceited Apparel was founded by myself Chicago Bookman better known on Instagram as @Laydeshy. As an HBCU student at the wonderful NC A&T I wanted to generate a comfortable affordable yet fashionable line for those around my age and culture. Konceited Apparel's ultimate goal is for each and every customer to love and embrace themselves. That is why is product is sent with love, time and care. The BOLD statements on my t shirts are menat to let the world know that you are here and you love yourself 1st. When you come to this website you will NOT see words such as"we/our comany" because well truth is I'm just a young person working hard towards my GOALS. I really want to see how hard i can push myself alone before bringing in a team. I want you my customers who started out with me to feel a personal connection. You will see on my Instagram I am almost ALWAYS promoting positive words and encouragement. I don't only want to be the owner of Konceited Apparel but I also want to be have a platform for young women to talk to me about ANYTHING. I know how much life can seem overwhelming and if anyone needs a ear to listen to i am ALWAYS willing to listen and talk. I would like my customers to watch me grow and start from the very bottom, working in my apartment building with late nights building my dreams. I know everyone is set out to be an entrepreneur or some sort of business person and that's ok because....THIS SH*T is hard lol , it's way more than just having CEO in your bio, it's about caring for each individual customer, marketing, being consistent and so much more. I questioned myself about this for so long.. but then I said OH NOO I can't work 8 hours a day for the rest of my life doing something I barely like! lol. There's a quote that say's "I would rather work 100 hours a week for myself than 8 hours for someone else. I walk at the beat of my OWN drum and that's why I came up with Konceited Apparel and other business ventures. So I hope you like what you see and pick up a few items and rock em with your personality. (Oh and I put the "K" in CONCEITED because I want you all to love yourself unconditionally BUT always remain humble.
